Mr Matheba was awarded an LLB degree by the University of Limpopo. Throughout he demonstrated commitment and dedication to his studies which he completed with a number of distinctions in 2012.

In 2013 he attended School for Legal Practice in Polokwane where he was recognised for outstanding performance (distinction) in a number of modules and was among the best performing candidates in the school.

Mr Matheba kicked off his legal career as a candidate attorney with Legal Aid South Africa during October 2013. In 2014 he was admitted as an Attorney with the right to appear in the High Court. From the period January 2015 until September 2019 he worked as an Associate Attorney for two successful and reputable black-owned Law firms based in Gauteng and Limpopo where he amassed in-depth exposure and experience in various fields of law practice. During 2018, Mr Matheba completed a course in  medical law which ignited his passion in this area of law. He founded Rungwane Matheba Attorneys Inc. in January 2020. Mr Matheba is a member of the Black Lawyers Association.
